As you've visited or drove past the library this summer, you have seen lots of construction going on. For those of you wondering, here is what is happening. The first thing you might have noticed is that our sign in front of the building is gone. Work is progressing, and a new sign will be installed in the near future. The library is also busy with electrical work and air conditioning installation on the second floor. The Tomkins Cove Public Library is the recipient of New York State Public Library Construction Grant money towards both of these projects. In September, the library will likely be closed for a few days for the installation of new boilers on the main floor. We are applying for grant money for this project as well.
Any questions about what is going on at the library, please feel free to ask.
