As of today, October 8, our plans remain to close October 15. However, as the amount of books that need to be moved has increased, we will start moving books in the children’s room on Thursday October 8. Between now and October 15, you may find some disruption and upheaval at the library. Our staff will help you locate material, but there is the possibility that prior to our closing some materials will be unavailable. We apologize for the inconvenience but our staff will do all they can to minimize the disruption. Of utmost concern is that we have done everything we can do so the work can start on time.
In the event that an inter library loan item comes in while we are closed, we will call you. Please do not come to the library without calling in advance. We will be happy to meet you at the door with your item, but no patrons will be allowed to enter the building during construction.
During the time that we are closed, four programs will take place upstairs: Music Together on Oct. 15 from 10:30–11:15, the Halloween Craft on Oct. 20 from 4:30–5:30, Yoga on Oct. 22 from 6:30–7:30 and the Peter Scheibner lecture on Oct. 24 from 1:00–4:00. Zumba class will be cancelled on Oct. 21.
Thank you for your understanding. We look forward to reopening the last week of October, hopefully on Oct. 27. Please watch this blog for updates. We will post when the library is reopening.
