How to Set Up Your Hoopla Account

Hoopla is your library made digital. Experience an extensive catalog of Ebooks, Audiobooks, shows, movies, and so much more! Want to get started? Learn how to begin below.

Using your mobile device or computer, navigate to hoopladigital.com. If you are using a mobile device, take this opportunity to install the Hoopla app. From there, Tap Sign Up or Get Started. 

From the list of available libraries, choose the Tomkins Cove Public Library. You will be prompted to input your library card’s 14 digit number visible on the back of the card. For the Pin, input the last four digits of the phone number associated with your Library card’s number. (Note: feel free to call the library to check your pin number if this does not work!)

To finish your signup, enter the email address and password you would prefer to set for this account. If there is another library you are a member of with a digital library collection you would to peruse, you can follow these instructions with that card number to set up a different account. 

With your account set up, you may now search the library’s digital collection. If there is an item you would like to borrow, select it and choose ‘Borrow.’ The item’s loan date will be displayed on the title page, after which you will have to borrow it again in order to continue usage. Borrowed items may be downloaded on mobile devices to be used with or without an internet connection. Please consider that data rates while downloading or streaming content will apply; we suggest the use of a wifi service while utilizing the service.
